Accessibility Statement

Last updated: July 11, 2026

We want everyone to be able to use this site comfortably — including people using screen readers, keyboards, or reduced-motion settings. Accessibility is part of how we define quality, not an afterthought.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across the site.

What we've built in

  • Full keyboard operability — every interactive element (navigation, accordion, scenario tabs, forms) is reachable and usable by keyboard, with visible focus indicators.
  • Semantic structure — proper landmarks, heading hierarchy, and ARIA attributes (tabs, accordions, and form errors announce themselves correctly to assistive technology).
  • Respect for motion preferences — every animation, from background drift to scroll effects, is disabled when your system requests reduced motion.
  • Color contrast — text colors are chosen to meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds, and color is never the only carrier of meaning.
  • Resizable, responsive layout — the site works at 200% zoom and across screen sizes without loss of content.
  • Forms with real labels — inputs have programmatic labels and clear, announced error messages.

Known limitations

Decorative animated illustrations (like the orbiting-tools diagram) are marked as hidden from assistive technology because they convey no information beyond the surrounding text. If you find anything that behaves otherwise, we'd like to know.

Tell us when something's wrong

If you hit a barrier anywhere on this site, email jay@simpcompany.com with “Accessibility” in the subject and a short description of the issue and your setup (browser, assistive technology). We'll respond within 5 business days and treat fixes as priority work.
